Paranoia2
We believe the name is quite appropriate for its application:
Protect Confidential Information!
What is Paranoia?
Paranoia is a family of high-speed hardware encryption products designed specifically to encrypt data on backup tapes. The orginal model of Paranoia was designed and manufactured in 1996 as custom solution for a Swiss banking consortium.
Paranoia2 is the second generation product released in 2002 that utlizes pre-compression before encryption. This addition of pre-compression enables the unit to maintain or often exceed the transfer rates achieved prior to installation, even when writing or reading in dual interlaced 3DES mode!
